Warranty Information
LIFETIME FIRE GUARANTEE Cobalt Safes backs all our fireproof safe with lifetime warranty against fire. Cobalt Safes will replace any Cobalt fireproof safe that has been damaged in a fire with the same or a comparable model to include all freight costs to the original address of purchase. Customers will be required to supply all requested documents to an authorized Cobalt Safes representative prior to replacement. LIMITED WARRANTY Cobalt Safes warranties all parts and labor, ecluding all digital components, on all safes purchased for a period of one year from date of purchase against any manufacture defects. We provide an extented four-year warranty on all replacement parts. Extended warranty excludes all digital components. Replacement of safe with the same or a comparable model during the extended four-year warranty will be subject to charges based on a pro-rated analysis. All digital components will be warrantied for a period of 90 days from date of purchase. Only digital components that are factory installed or installed by a Cobalt Safes Technician prior to shipment will be covered under this 90-day warranty. Cobalt Safes will not warranty any digital component installed on safe that are installed within the floor. This warranty does not cover and damages caused by mishandeling, neglect, water, tampering, improper installation, removal and/or re-installation of the safe. Cobalt Safes must be notified within a period of 7 days of receipt of any safe damaged during shipping in order to uphold the safe warranty. Warranties on damge claims will only be accepted if the customer has properly executed the outline Damage and Delivery Policy and Procedures. Re-setting of any combination on a Group II combination dial lock must be performed by a qualified locksmith otherwise the warranty will become void. This warranty is valid for the original customer of purchase and is non-transferable. At no time will the warranty cover more than the original purchase price of the safe. At no time will Cobalt Safe become liable for the cost of installation and/or removal of any Cobalt Safe or any contents or valuables that may be stored in any Cobalt Safe. Cobalt Safes' sole discretion under this warranty, is at Cobalt Safes' own option and own expense. Cobalt Safes will repair the defective safe or part, will deliver to the customer the same or comparable safe or part for replacement of the defective part, or if neither of the two foregoing options is reasonably available, Cobalt Safes may, at its own discreation, refund to the customer the original purchase price paid for the defective safe. All safes or parts that are replaced or refunded will become the sole property of Cobalt Safes. An authorized Cobalt Safes Representative must approve all claims against Cobalt Safes. All repairs must be approved by a Cobalt Safes Representative before any warranty repairs can be completed. If a warranty repair is completed prior to obtaining an approval from Cobalt Safes, Cobalt Safes reserves the right to refuse payment to the service provider or reimbursement to the customer for any unauthorized repairs.

Shipping Information
*Shipping is included to most of the continental United States (Alaska and Hawaii customers please contact us for shipping costs before placing order). However, in some remote rural areas, islands, toll bridge access areas, union states, ferry tolls, etc. may be subject to additional charges (i.e. New York). Certain limited access locations (i.e churches, schools, libraries, construction sites etc) are subject to a $75 access fee. If any additional charges apply the customer will be notified before shipping. Please enter shipping address carefully. Incorrect shipping addresses will result in extra shipping charges for the customer. If customer changes mind once a safe has shipped customer will be responsible for freight to and from the delivery address as well as restocking fee.

Usually ships within 1 business day, delivery will be another 2-7 business days

Safes under 100lbs ship via UPS ground, safes over 100lbs ship curbside delivery (delivery personnel will present goods to ground level at rear of delivery vehicle. Customer is responsible for final movement of goods, unpack and debris removal)

Cobalt Safe utilizes the services of UPS Parcel on all safe orders weighing 100 lbs or less. All safes are shipped via UPS Ground for cost effectiveness. Safe shipment can be upgraded to Next Day or 2nd Day Air per customers request and at cost to the customer. Customer must notify Cobalt Safes of any damages and along with a description of the damage within 24 hour of receipt. If the customer declines to keep the damaged safe it will be the customer’s responsible to repackage and hold the safe until a claim can be submitted and UPS Parcel can retrieve the damage safe, this can process can take approximately 10 – 14 business days.

Cobalt Safes utilizes the services of both UPS Freight and R&L Carriers for all LTL shipments. The freight carrier provides either dock or curbside delivery based upon delivery location. Curbside delivery is defined as delivery of the freight as close to the actual delivery address as possible. Please remember the size of the tractor trailer and certain safety precautions may prevent the freight carrier from delivering at the actual curb or delivery address. Lift-gate service is standard on all deliveries at no additional charge. The freight carrier is not responsible for inside delivery of freight and inside delivery is not a service that Cobalt Safes offers. All freight deliveries must be inspected for damage at time of delivery in a timely manner. All packaging should be inspected for any noticeable signs of damage to include tears, indentions, and friction marks to the packaging. Freight that is delivered on broken pallets, double stacked pallets, or no pallet (excluding gun safes) also may require a thorough inspection. If there are any signs of damage to the packaging, further inspection may be required of the actual freight itself extending beyond the packaging. Do NOT sign the delivery receipt until you have finished inspecting the packaging. All damaged freight must be refused at time of delivery. If damage is minimal and acceptable the consignee will be required to note the damage to the delivery receipt at time of delivery. Please do not discard of pallet or packaging material until both the safe has been determined in good working condition and/or all claim issues have been resolved. When the delivery receipt is signed by the consignee without any notes of exception to the damage it clearly states that the freight has been received by the consignee in good condition. Failure to follow the procedures above will remove all liability of damage from Cobalt Safes and require the consignee to file any claims against the carrier themselves.

Shipping costs are included to most of the continental United States. Returns Information
Returns for safes other than damaged/defective are possible up to 14 days after delivery date and subject to a 20% restocking fee. Once a safe has shipped customer will be responsible for freight to and from the delivery address. Safes that are received damaged and/or defective will be repaired, replaced or credited at 100%. Authorization must be obtained by calling our customer service department at 800-928-1656. All freight deliveries must be inspected for damage at time of delivery in a timely manner. Failure to carefully inspect packaging and note damage or refuse delivery will remove all liability of damage from Cobalt Safes and require the consignee to file any claims against the carrier themselves.
