Protex Safe Co. warrants to the original purchaser that the product(s) shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase from Protex Safe Co. (complete safes). This warranty applies provided there is compliance with all installation/operating instructions supplied by Protex Safe Co. and, provided further, that the product has been subject to normal use without any misuse, negligence, modification, or the occurrence of accidental damage.
DISCLAIMER: If safe is not used properly according to the Manufacturer’s manual, the warranty will become void. This includes overuse of emergency keys and emergency power override wires/boxes.
PROTEX SAFE CO. MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY AS TO SUITABILITY OF THE PRODUCT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE OR THE MERCHANTABILITY THEREOF AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE SUSTAINED THROUGH BURGLARY, THEFT, ROBBERY, FIRE OR OTHER HAZARD. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED BY LAW AND/OR CUSTOM.
Customer Remedies: In the event of a defect in materials or workmanship covered by this warranty, the purchaser shall contact Protex Safe Co. Repair or replacement shall be at the election of Protex Safe Co. The purchaser's sole remedy shall be the repair or replacement of the product and under no circumstances shall Protex Safe Co. be liable to the purchaser or any other person for any consequential, incidental, economic, direct, indirect, general or special damages arising out of any breach of warranty. In no event shall Protex Safe Co.'s liability exceed the original cost of the product.
No other Warranties: This warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No dealer, distributor, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification or addition to this warranty.
No Liability for Consequential Damages: PROTEX SAFE CO. EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF NONINFRINGEMENT PROVIDED UNDER KRS 355.2.312, UCC §2-312, OR SIMILAR LAW. PROTEX SAFE CO. SHALL NOT INDEMNIFY NOR BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF A CLAIM THAT THIS PRODUCT INFRINGES ANY PATENT. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Safes under 120 lbs will ship via FedEx ground. All larger safes will ship via LTL carrier with the following options:
Dock to Dock: businesses only - safe left on loading dock
Liftgate: curbside delivery - Delivery personnel will present goods to ground level at rear of delivery vehicle. Customer is responsible for final movement of goods, unpack and debris removal.
Truck to Ground w/ Inside Placement: Carrier will place safe over the threshold of the customer's doorway but will not put in room of choice. No steps or stairs included. Carrier will wheel safe into garage if all exterior doorways have steps
IMPORTANT - Inspection for Damage Process:
In a timely manner all LTL freight deliveries must be inspected for damage at the time of delivery. All packaging should be inspected for any noticeable signs of damage to include tears, indentations, and friction marks to the packaging. All freight shipped via Protex Safe is shipped in an upright position. Any signs of damage to the packaging, freight not being delivered upright position are justified reasons for the customer to require further inspection of the actual freight itself. All damaged freight MUST be refused at time of delivery. If the damage is minimal and acceptable to the consignee, they will be required to make note of the damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery prior to singing the delivery receipt. Under NO circumstances shall the consignee discard the pallet or packaging material until the safe has been determined to be in good working condition and/or all claim issues have been resolved. When the delivery receipt is signed by the consignee in good condition. Failure to follow the procedures above will remove all liability of damage from Protex Safe and require the consignee to file any claims against the carrier themselves.
For all parcel shipments, the customer must notify Protex Safe of any damages within 24 hours of receipt. Customer will also be required to provide Hollon Safe with a brief description of the damage. If the customer declines to keep the damaged safe, it will be the customer’s responsibility to repackage and hold the safe until a claim can be submitted and FedEx can retrieve the damage safe, the process can approximately two weeks.
1. Proof of purchase, in form of an invoice or packing slip
2. Photo of the defective, damaged or wrong safe shipped. Photo can be hard copy or digital version sent via email
3. Short description explaining the problem with the safe
Returns for buyer’s remorse (don’t like color, size etc) are not accepted. Only damaged, defective or incorrect safes may be returned.
