This is my second V-Line product and I have the smaller wall safe which I rate five stars. The original version of the larger safe has separate locks top, bottom and middle. The new version which I just installed combines these into one, really handy in concept. The change caused me to move forward with the new one. However, the extra hardware attached to the same lock (I think) seems to drag it all down. I have experienced several occasions where the lock does not move freely, the know is hard to move and slips, and I cannot get into the safe. If I work with it a bit, I can get it to open. I am very concerned that it will eventually not open no matter what I do. Not sure what to do at this time. It's a real pain to remove and return, so I'm avoiding dealing with it until after the holidays. I can't rate this one highly, because the lock is so important to the whole product.
Also when the product arrived, I had ordered it with the peg board. The screws holding the peg board had come loose and/or sheared. They are are very light duty screws. I replaced them with heavier sheet metal screws and this is now fine. The manufacturer needs to provide better screws.
Otherwise, the product fits and installs in the wall as the cut sheet shows.
