Protex Shipping Information

Usually ships within 1-3  business days from California, delivery will be an additional 2-7 business days

Shipping is included to all our Continental U.S. customers (extra shipping will apply to Alaska and Hawaii - please contact us prior to ordering). Please enter shipping address carefully. Incorrect shipping addresses will result in extra shipping charges for the customer. If customer changes mind once a safe has shipped customer will be responsible for freight to and from the delivery address as well as 25% restocking fee.


Safes under 120 lbs will ship via FedEx ground. All larger safes will ship via LTL carrier with the following options:

Dock to Dock: businesses only - safe left on loading dock
Liftgate: curbside delivery - Delivery personnel will present goods to ground level at rear of delivery vehicle. Customer is responsible for final movement of goods, unpack and debris removal.
Truck to Ground w/ Inside Placement: Carrier will place safe over the threshold of the customer's doorway but will not put in room of choice or remove from pallet. No steps or stairs included. Carrier will wheel safe into garage if all exterior doorways have steps. Customer is responsible for final movement of goods, unpack and debris removal. 

 IMPORTANT - Inspection for Damage Process of Freight Deliveries (not ground):

In a timely manner all LTL freight deliveries must be inspected for damage at the time of delivery. All packaging should be inspected for any noticeable signs of damage to include tears, indentations, and friction marks to the packaging. Do NOT sign the delivery receipt until you have fully inspected the packaging, and safe if necessary. All freight shipped via Protex Safe is shipped in an upright position. Any signs of damage to the packaging, freight not being delivered upright position, wrapped in plastic etc are justified reasons for the customer to require further inspection of the actual safe itself. All damaged freight MUST be refused at time of delivery. If the damage is minimal and acceptable to the consignee, they will be required to make note of the damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery prior to singing the delivery receipt. Under NO circumstances shall the consignee discard the pallet or packaging material until the safe has been determined to be in good working condition and/or all claim issues have been resolved. When the delivery receipt is signed by the consignee without any notes of exception to the damage it clearly states that the freight has been received by the consignee in good condition. Failure to follow the procedures above will remove all liability of damage from Protex Safe and require the consignee to file any claims against the carrier themselves. Freight deliveries will require inspection and signature. Customers must be available for delivery once a safe ships or storage fees may apply. Please contact us prior to shipment if you require a delay.

For all parcel shipments, the customer must notify Protex Safe of any damages within 24 hours of receipt. Customer will also be required to provide Protex Safe with a brief description of the damage. If the customer declines to keep the damaged safe, it will be the customer’s responsibility to repackage and hold the safe until a claim can be submitted and FedEx can retrieve the damage safe, the process can approximately two weeks.
